The forest border area in the hills of Jembrana is now becoming a preferred place of visit during holidays. In addition to the JR Hill at Pancaseming hamlet, Batuagung, Jembrana subdistrict, Yehembang Kangin in Mendoyo sub-district also just opened similar attraction. Precisely, it is located at Bangli hamlet named Green Cliff inaugurated last weekend by Deputy Regent of Jembrana, I Made Kembang Hartawan, began to be huddled by visitors.

As seen on last weekend holiday or Sunday (Jun. 25), a number of residents mostly from around Jembrana spent holidays at the location. Forest scenery of the green hills and the gardens invite curiosity of visitors.

Agus Maha, one of the visitors, admitted to accidentally come to this location because of curiosity after being at issue in social media. Other than being able to see the grove of trees from a height, visitors can also see the flow of river at Pangkung Jelati. This wooden building is made independently by a group of people belonging to the members of Banu Sejahtera tourism awareness group. The group is keen to explore natural beauty of the region by building a selfie spot named the Green Cliff.

Group leader, I Gede Sukanta, revealed the idea of ​​building this location was inspired by the current trend where many people love to take selfie. This plan was also born due to encouragement from the government of Jembrana through the cultural tourism, where tourism development is one of the priority targets to be developed.

Meetings of local hamlet and villages agreed to build this place independently. The building stands on the edge of a cliff with a length of 60 meters and 10 meters high. Above it is also built a building similar to gazebo as well as three long chairs enabling visitors to take pictures. Green Cliff is intentionally built rather high and elongated so that people can more freely watch the scenery of Yehembang Hills.

In addition, to beautify the atmosphere at night, the Green Cliff spot is already equipped with lights. Deputy Regent of Jembrana, I Made Kembang Hartawan, who also had time to inspect the measure taken by Banu Sejahtera tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) hoped it can be followed by other groups. He will always provide guidance and mentoring for the tourism awareness group, monitor the extent to which they can manage and develop the local potential.

Meanwhile, district government will consistently conduct a larger tourism arrangement. “Location of Jembrana as one of the gates of Bali Island is very potential to become a transit area or to be crossed by domestic and foreign tourists.
